EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO IMD CHANDIGARH



The students of class VII were taken for an enthralling and fun-filled educational trip to the Meteorological Centre, Chandigarh, located in sector 39.The purpose and need of meteorological centre was told to us. On being introduced to many weather predictingn and reporting instruments, we learnt about the recording and collection of data. This data was then inserted into  a super computer and transmitted to different weather stations.We were also taken to the terrace to see the real life examples of wind vane, sunshine recorder and anemometer. We were then told the purpose and usage of each instrument. Later we were taken to the surface observatory, located outdoors where we were shown SUNSHINE RECORDER, MIN AND MAX THERMOMETER, RAIN GUAGE and SOIL THERMOMETER etc.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
This year class VII was given the duty to organise the Independence Day programme and they made every effort to make it a memorable show. They performed various enactments, songs, and dances and recited poems all in patriotic fervour. Mr.Pawan Kumar Bansal was the chief guest and the guest of honour was Prof.Devi Sirohi, chairperson Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the flag and the release of the tricoloured balloons. Students then proceeded inside the auditorium and bowed their heads before the Almighty to seek blessings for the country and its people, there was a short enactment on the topic "CHILD LABOUR" followed by a motivating poem and finally the foot tapping dance on "MILE SUR MERA TUMHARA"which showcased national integrity. The show ended on a philanthropic note when bicycles and sanitary kits were distributed to the under privileged children, this was done in collaboration with Yuvsatta,a city-based NGO.
 
 
THANKSGIVING - CARD MAKING
 A thanksgiving card making competition was organised for the students of classes 6 to 8. And a number of beautiful cards were made by the students with full respect and honour to people whom they wanted to thank.
CARMEL FEAST - WREATH MAKING

 On the occasion of Carmel Feast a wreath making competition was organised for the students of class 7 (Squad wise). In which students of Satya squad bagged the first prize and the students of Ekta squad bagged the second prize.

ANTI TOBACCO DAY - POSTER MAKING
World no tobacco day is observed around the world every year on May 31. So on the occasion of anti tobacco day a poster making competition was organised for the students of classes 6-8.
MOTHERS DAY - CARD MAKING

"As many as the stars on the sky, so do I have as much regards to the women who brought me to this world, happy mother's day! ".On the occasion of mother's day a card making competition was organised by the members of CESA.
